HCF Blog 2
This is the second blog in our series documenting our collaboration with the Herefordshire Community Foundation (HCF). Wild Edric Media is working with HCF to film a series of interviews with grant recipients and Business For Good members, highlighting the positive impact the foundation has across the county.
The Herefordshire Community Foundation provides grants that make a real difference to the lives of people throughout Herefordshire. By capturing these stories on film, we aim to help raise awareness of HCF’s work and the vital role it plays in supporting the community.
Interview Filming.
Last week saw the Wild Edric Media team head into the Herefordshire countryside to film an interview with Vernon Amor, Managing Director of Wye Valley Brewery. Vernon gave us a warm welcome and, before we even began setting up our filming equipment, he invited us to sit down with a coffee while he shared insights into the brewing industry.
He then treated the team to a tour of the brewery, which was not only fascinating but also useful for scouting locations for b-roll filming. The brewery’s shop and bar area provided the perfect setting for the interview.
This interview was slightly different from the others we have filmed so far, as Wye Valley Brewery are members of Business for Good, a fund that makes it easy for local businesses to collectively give back and support communities across Herefordshire. This meant we had a different set of questions to ask.
Later in the week, we welcomed Rae Chambers, Manger of Marches Family Network (MFN) to our office space to film her interview. With minimal space at their Hereford office we were delighted to host Rae and ensure that MFN’s branding was clearly represented, using some banners she brought with her to create the interview background.
We also captured some additional b-roll footage, including a hero shot of Rae using the banners. The remaining supporting footage will be supplied by Marches Family Network to complement the interview in the final edit.
What’s Next?
We’re excited to be heading into Hereford later this week to film an interview at the West Hereford Pétanque Club, who have received funding from the Herefordshire Community Foundation. We will continue filming more interviews throughout the rest of January and into February, so keep an eye out for the next blog post in this series.
Once all interviews and supporting footage have been captured, we will bring everything together into a promotional video for the Herefordshire Community Foundation. The final film will help raise awareness of the incredible work HCF does and show how their grants can support individuals, organisations and communities across Herefordshire.
