Wild Edric Media Partners with The King’s Trust and TK Maxx for Inspiring Anniversary Film
Behind the Scenes of a Special Film for The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration
The Wild Edric Media team recently travelled to Birmingham to produce a powerful partnership film celebrating the collaboration between TK Maxx and The King’s Trust. The video showcased the life-changing impact of employment programmes designed to help young people build confidence, develop workplace skills, and secure long-term employment opportunities.
The final film was created for The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration and Awards, held at the prestigious Royal Albert Hall on 11th May.
Filming at TK Maxx in Birmingham Bullring
Production began inside the busy TK Maxx store at Bullring & Grand Central, where the Wild Edric Media crew filmed a group of inspiring young people who had successfully completed programmes supported by TK Maxx and The King’s Trust.
Filming in a live retail environment always presents challenges, especially as the store became increasingly busy throughout the day. However, the Wild Edric team worked closely with staff, participants, and shoppers to ensure filming ran smoothly while capturing authentic moments that reflected the positive impact of the programme.
The energy on set remained upbeat and collaborative throughout the shoot, helping everyone involved feel comfortable on camera.
Working with The King’s Trust Team
An important part of the project involved collaborating with Remi and Tilly from The King’s Trust. Remi played a key role in developing the storyboard and shaping the overall narrative of the film. During filming, Remi also stepped into the role of presenter, bringing warmth, personality, and authenticity to the final film.
After completing the retail footage, the production moved to The King’s Trust centre in Birmingham, where the team recorded voiceover segments with Remi to help shape the narrative and connect the stories featured throughout the video.
Tight Turnaround for Royal Albert Hall Premiere
The edit turnaround for the project was extremely tight due to the film’s scheduled premiere at The King’s Trust 50th Anniversary Celebration and Awards ceremony.
To meet the deadline, the Wild Edric Media post-production team worked quickly and collaboratively through multiple rounds of feedback and approvals. The final edit also incorporated archive footage from previous TK Maxx employment programmes, helping to highlight the long-standing partnership and its continued impact on young people across the UK.
The event itself was a landmark celebration attended by King Charles III, making the occasion even more memorable for everyone involved.
Audience Reaction to the Final Film
The completed film received a fantastic response during its screening at the Royal Albert Hall, with the audience responding with rapturous applause.

I cannot thank, nor recommend the team at Wild Edric enough for their work on a recent project of ours: a milestone hero film celebrating the partnership between our organisation and one of our biggest corporate partners.
Delivering on a fairly elaborate brief in an incredibly short window of time, the team pulled out all the stops to ensure we hit our strict deadlines.
