OUR SERVICES

OUR WAY

How we work with you to create great video content

Our aim is simply to use our experience and expertise to ensure we deliver exactly what you want, whether it be an advert, filming your live event or streaming. To achieve this, we work with you using our tried and tested production stages:

VIDEO PRODUCTION

INITIAL SCOPE

Where we discuss the project with you, to scope out the initial details such as your aim, target audience, timescales and budget

PRE-PRODUCTION

Very similar to a movie, this phase is concerned with us working with you to finalise the details such as script and storyboard, sourcing actors or presenters, finding and booking locations and other related logistics.

SHOOT DAY

This is where our crew are on site/location to film, which may be over one or a series of days. If the location is exterior, we try where possible to have a wet weather option. Our crew always comprises at least 2 people, but for larger shoots, we can include additional creatives such as hair and make-up etc. We manage the entire shoot day for you, but always ensure that we constantly review and check with you, as the client (we even give you a ‘Directors Monitor’ so you can see what we’re filming). We can also provide AutoCue to help with presenters talking to camera.

POST-PRODUCTION

This is where your story is really brought to life, when we start editing. Employing professional editing software (which is used on many of the Hollywood films!), we first of all create a draft clip assemble, to check the story flow against the brief. We can share this with you using our secure online editing review system, which enables you to type comments against the footage in real time, and that we see automatically and can then action. The next time step is to create a Draft Edit, which will have some draft graphics/effects in plus a soundtrack/music. We ensure that any production music used is licensed for world-wide use by you. Once signed off, we then move to the Final Edit stage, where we finalise the graphics/effects, mix the sound and colour grade the clips. We can also add captions for accessibility (and we recommend them for social media videos anyway).

DELIVERY

Once the final edit has been signed off by you, we deliver the final video(s) in the required format; this could be standard landscape for a website or YouTube, portrait for Instagram or square for Facebook, Linked IN or Twitter. We can assist with the uploading of videos if required, and the raw and edited video clips remain your property, which reside in our secure archive for a minimum of 3 years.

Live Event Recording or Streamed Production

INITIAL SCOPE

Where we discuss the project with you, to scope out the initial details such as your aim, target audience, timescales and budget

PRE-PRODUCTION

As our crew will be filming or streaming at a venue, unless we have worked there before, we strive to organise a site visit if possible. During this visit, we can check on the availability of space, power, cable runs and camera placements. If we are streaming, we also do a livestream test to ensure the internet is sufficient for our needs. We also liaise (on your behalf) with the venue’s technicians and/or a separate AV company you may also have hired in, to ensure we receive or provide the necessary technical connections. And we always ensure you are kept in the loop.
This stage also includes any graphics, VT playback videos or introduction sting videos that are created (either by us or another agency).

If we are livestreaming and you require the stream to go to your Facebook page or Youtube channel, we will require temporary admin access to not only test but also control the livestream on the day. Once the event is over, we remove our access permissions.

SET UP DAY

Based on the scale of the event, we generally need 2-3 hours to get set up, and we normally like to be there for any sound checks etc. For events such as conferences that start in the morning, we request that we set up the night before, with crew being accommodated at hotels as close to the event as possible.

EVENT DAY

Our on-site production crew ensure the day’s events are captured for either recording, in-room projectors or livestreaming. We work closely with any 3rd party AV company onsite to ensure a seamless event. Our crew can also undertake additional B-Roll filming of delegate registrations, break out sessions, exhibitions or voxpop/interviews – all vital for a highlights/promo video of your event.

In the case of a live-stream, we control all of the stream components, based on prior arranged access permissions granted to us.

We record on all cameras as well as a fully mixed recording in HD.
